The story of Jimmy Blue by George Dewhurst originates from an earlier time in George's life, where he had to take a year out to get clean and go to rehab. This is where George met Jimmy and started what at the time felt like a lifetime of friendship. Unfortunately Jimmy later took a path of relapse and eventually this led to him loosing his life. Jimmy Blue is not just simply a songwriters anecdote, but method of processing the heart ache of loss whilst also contemplating pride in his own achievements and recovery.
